If you are familiar with April Ryan you know that she is one of the most irresponsible “reporters” you’ll find in Washington. That’s not an exaggeration. If you don’t believe me, check out what she had the audacity to ask Sarah Sanders recently.
From The Hill:
CNN contributor and American Urban Radio Networks reporter April Ryan on Tuesday asked White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders if the administration believed “slavery is wrong.”
The question at the end of the Tuesday briefing comes one day after White House chief of staff John Kelly stated in a Fox News interview that the Civil War happened in part because of “a failure to compromise” between the North and South.
“Does this administration think that slavery is wrong?” Ryan asked after Sanders had already left the podium.
Yeah. She said that out loud. So, it is clear that everything April Ryan says needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
Early Wednesday morning, April Ryan started firing off some interesting tweets about Omarosa who works at the White House for the Trump administration.
April also provided the following “report” that said Omarosa was escorted out by Secret Service after she became angry. Some reports have even said that Omarosa was physically dragged from the White House grounds.
Sounds like some serious drama. Except, there’s one problem. That’s not what the Secret Service is saying.
From Washington Examiner:
The U.S. Secret Service pushed back on a report that former “Apprentice” star and White House aide Omarosa Manigault had been escorted from the White House after she was instructed to leave her post at the White House.
“The Secret Service was not involved in the termination process of Ms Manigault Newman or the escort off of the complex,” U.S. Secret Service tweeted Wednesday evening. “Our only involvement in this matter was to deactivate the individual’s pass which grants access to the complex.”
“Reporting regarding Secret Service personnel physically removing Omarosa Manigault Newman from the @WhiteHouse complex is incorrect,” U.S. Secret Service said in a separate tweet.
Not exactly the same story April Ryan is pushing.
April Ryan has started to backpedal and the great Richard Baris was all over it.
Okay, but why didn't you contact the @SecretService before making false claims/reports? Are you just lazy April? Even if it ends up she was escorted out, you still spread fake news. Must be another one of those "honest mistakes" @CillizzaCNN keeps telling us about. https://t.co/BQGw5lNdqh

Hard to get around the fact that this looks like yet another blunder from the mainstream media.
It’s looking pretty obvious that April Ryan was pushing this story because of a personal beef she has with Omorosa which is a very professional thing to do.
From The Daily Mail:
Earlier on Tuesday, sources inside the White House told DailyMail.com that reports indicating that Manigault was fired and escorted out on Tuesday evening after cursing out Chief of Staff John Kelly were incorrect.
American Urban Radio Network White House Correspondent and CNN contributor April Ryan’s claim that she was is the result of a ‘personal vendetta’ against Manigault, one said.
A senior official told DailyMail.com, ‘April Ryan has a problem with the White House, with Omarosa.’
The person ‘knows these statements aren’t true’ and claimed that Ryan has ‘a personal vendetta that carried over from the feud earlier in the year.
If April Ryan really wanted the truth she would have asked the Secret Service what happened and at least tried to create the impression she did her due diligence.
However, that’s not what she wants.
She wants to cause drama and hurt the reputation of the Trump administration.
