The liberal media is doing its best to convince the American people that Democrats are on the move and Republicans are on the run. They would have you believe that Alabama is now a blue state and the American people are sending the clear message they oppose Trump.
In reality, its the Democrat Party that still has a long way to go before it can become viable nationally again. They have to make up their mind. Will the Democrat Party be a party led by Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi? Will it be run by radicals like Bernie Sanders and Liz Warren? Or will the impeachment nuts like Maxine Waters and Luis Gutierrez be handed the reins? They are a lot of competing factions within the Democrat Party.
Bill De Blasio, one of the more radical Democrats who is vying for the top spot in the party, has been a disaster as mayor of New York City. However, liberals in that town put him in charge again anyway because all they really care about is the ‘D’ next to your name. They aren’t particularly concerned with whether or not you do a good job.
We now know who is going to be swearing in Bill De Blasio when he starts his next term next week.
It perfectly sums up how Democrats are at a crossroads.
From Washington Examiner:
Sen. Bernie Sanders will swear in New York Mayor Bill de Blasio for his second term next week.
Over 1,000 people are expected to attend the ceremony at New York’s City Hall at noon Monday. Sanders’ wife, Jane Sanders, will also attend.
From The Daily Caller:
New York Mayor Bill de Blasio will be sworn in for his second term by Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, City Hall revealed Wednesday.
De Blasio’s choice is surprising given his enthusiastic support of former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and his long maintained ties to the Clinton family. These ties were on full display during his first swearing in presided over by former President Bill Clinton, who de Blasio served under in the Department of Housing and Urban Development
De Blasio was also Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager during her run for the U.S. Senate in the state of New York in 2000.
This isn’t something that should be ignored.
De Blasio was a Hillary guy through and through and now he seems to be teaming up with Bernie or at least aligning himself with the socialist wing of the Democrat Party. De Blasio has a long history of supporting socialist causes but it is very interesting that Bernie is the guy he chose.
Is De Blasio going to run in 2020?
A lot of people out there sure think so.
De Blasio showed up in Iowa earlier this year and certainly sounded like a guy who wanted to run.
Iowans are speaking out and showing up to fight back against what conservatives are doing to their state and our country. Standing up for quality public education, access to health care, and to make sure working families get a fair shot matters in Iowa and New York, and I can’t wait to discuss those ideas as well as how we can work together when I visit in December.
Bernie and Bill. Quite the team.
Do Democrats really want these two leading the charge?
Doesn’t sound like the best idea in the world.
