White House press secretary Sarah Sanders is a very strong defender of President Donald Trump. But she is also an advocate for her colleagues in the White House and in her office, especially if she feels that they are being poorly treated by the news media.
CNN has something of a tempestuous relationship with the White House with CNN often acting like the opposition or the resistance and Trump calling them fake news.
One of the most recent attacks was CNN host Chris Cuomo literally calling Trump a ‘sh**hole’ on live television, even writing it out on a whiteboard under “This is what he is.” Gotta love that objective reporting.
But Cuomo had a further problem on Monday morning as regards the White House. And Sanders wasn’t going to let it go by.
From Daily Caller:
CNN host Chris Cuomo referred to Raj Shah as “Raj whatever-his-name-is” during a segment condemning President Donald Trump for being racially insensitive.
“Remember … we went to the White House when it happened, and Raj whatever-his-name-is didn’t back off the words,” Cuomo said earlier Monday.
Shah, who is the principal deputy White House press secretary, is the son of Indian immigrants.
Had Trump said this, he would have been accused of careless racism before you could spit by some in media.
Shah let Cuomo know exactly who he was.
It’s been a year. You would think that at this point they would know who the man was.
So either CNN just doesn’t care or it’s not important enough to them to get it right.
Sanders wasted no time in blasting them for it, noting they had a history of not properly identifying Shah.
Late last year, they misidentified him with the wrong picture, showing the picture of another Raj Shah who was part of the Obama administration.
Cuomo apologized for failing to identify Shah.
He has yet to apologize for calling President Trump a “sh**hole” on live television.
