New Yorkers got exactly what they asked for after re-electing far left Mayor Bill de Blasio.

The man is no friend to the city he runs, nor American values in general.

Now, rich lefties are mad at a proposed plan that aims to shelter the homeless in their ritzy Manhattan neighborhood.

Check this out…

From Daily Caller:

Wealthy New Yorkers are furious that Mayor Bill de Blasio plans to open a homeless shelter in their ritzy Manhattan neighborhood.

Dozens of wealthy residents packed into a community meeting to voice their anger over the decision to move 150 homeless men into the former Park Savoy Hotel, NY1 reports. The residents are concerned that the move will increase crime and decrease property values in their neighborhood on “billionaires row.”

“How are these poor people, whose only livelihood is in one bag, deal with a $6 coffee and a $15,000 dress on the windows of Fifth Avenue?” asked one resident, a middle-aged man with a foreign accent. “Aren’t we breeding crime by doing this?” he asked, earning applause from the audience.

Some residents have formed a group, the West 58th Street Coalition, to oppose the homeless shelter in their neighborhood, CBS2 reports. CBS2 identified the coalition’s leader as Suzanne Silverstein, a fashion executive who is the president of upscale women’s fashion line Parker NY, according to her Linkedin profile.

De Blasio is set to get a big raise.

From New York Post:

Mayor de Blasio will get a fat 15 percent raise when his second term begins Monday – bumping his salary from $225,000 to $258,750 a year.

The $33,750 boost is more than the annual salary of a full-time worker making the city’s roughly $13 minimum wage.

“Oh, that’s way, way too much money for the mayor,” said David Schermerhorn of VOCAL New York, a group that works with low-income New Yorkers. “That’s corporate America money.”

De Blasio authorized his cushy new salary two years ago by signing legislation that gave city pols a retroactive raise starting January 2016.

That’s a pretty nice gig. Run the city into the ground and give yourself a raise while doing it.

It would be different if Bill was doing a good job or at least a decent job. If he was a great mayor you could make the argument he should get paid like one.

However, that’s just not the case. Report after report confirms how the man is asleep at the wheel.

From New York Post:

Mayor Bill de Blasio’s daily exercise routine at a Brooklyn gym often leaves him too tuckered out to stay awake at City Hall, where he catches up on his shuteye by crashing on a couch in his office, sources told The Post.

Hizzoner regularly takes midday naps while everyone around him is busy at work, according to former aides with knowledge of the siestas.

“He would arrive at 10 a.m. after working out and then would be napping,” one ex-staffer said.

And Hizzoner doesn’t bother sleeping with one eye open — one source recalled him snoozing away with his face covered by a newspaper to shut out the daylight.

Oh, and Bill is a terrible boss as well.

From New York Post:

Mayor Bill de Blasio is an imperious bully of a boss who threatens his underlings with dire punishment if they fail to meet his demands, emails obtained by The Post reveal.

“What do I need to get you guys to follow a direct order? Do you need to experience consequences?” he threatened in one 2015 diatribe.

“I’m not raising this again: fix it, or I will [have] no choice but to find a way to penalize people. Not my preference, but I won’t have my instructions ignored.”

The emails show de Blasio blowing his top at nearly a dozen aides for failing to make sure phonetic versions of challenging words were included in his speeches and talking points.

That guy deserves a raise, huh?
