The Winter Olympics are in full swing over on the Korean peninsula and for some strange reason the liberal media has been fawning over Kim Jong Un’s sister as if she’s some rock star or something. She’s part of one of the most brutal regimes on the planet.
From Fox News:
Joe Concha called out many of his colleagues in the press for fawning over the sister of North Korea dictator Kim Jong Un at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Kim Yo Jong has received positive headlines from CNN, The New York Times, Reuters and other media outlets, while North Korea’s human rights abuses — including the detention of several American citizens — are largely ignored.
On “Happening Now” on Monday, The Hill’s media reporter pointed out that Kim Yo Jong has a title in the North Korean government: vice director of the propaganda and agitation department.
Concha said it’s dangerous for the media to praise her and declare that North Korea is “winning the Olympics,” “stealing the show” or taking the “diplomatic gold” without giving any context.
It’s really just embarrassing. No other way to put it.
There’s at least one person who isn’t impressed by the media’s admiration for a tyrannical monster. The guy who risked his life to escape that very same regime. Remember the Korean man from Trump’s State of the Union address who held up his crutches? Yeah. He’s not a fan of Kim Yo Jong.
From The Daily Caller:
The inspirational North Korean defector who fled the brutal regime on crutches has a message for the world: “South Korean people hate Kim Yo Jong and her visit.”
“Yo Jong’s grandfather, Kim Il Sung, is a war criminal, and her father, Kim Jong Il, killed three million people by starvation. Kim Jong Un is responsible for human rights violations and assassination of his own half-brother,” Seong Ho told The Daily Caller exclusively.
“The Kim family is taking hostage of the North Korean people and threatening the world with its nuclear weapons. Therefore, South Korean people hate Kim Yo Jong and her visit,” he said.
“I personally think she should be mindful of her place, stop looking down on other people arrogantly and feel guilty.”
It’s hard to understand what the media is thinking here. There’s a lot of people who think the media likes Kim Jong Un and his crew more than Trump. It’s quite possible they are actually so dense that they don’t understand what a monster he is. It’s not long ago that Joy Behar and Liz Warren were talking about how Kim Jong Un and Trump are similar. Maybe the mainstream media actually thinks North Korea isn’t so bad. It’s certainly possible.
