After Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) ‘flaked’ and seemed to have been influenced by anti-Kavanaugh Soros-connected activists, the activists have been stepping up their efforts to confront senators. They’ve confronted multiple other senators since including Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN). But perhaps the best response was from Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA).

Cassidy was walking through a Senate building when he was accosted by a professional activist.

Activists have been hunting senators down at airports and on the Hill.

But this is perhaps the best response to any of them, flipping it back on the activist with a little logic.

Cassidy, who is also a gastroenterologist, clearly had the upper hand when it came down to it and she wasn’t able to keep up with him in any sense of the word.

She asked, “Why are you supporting Kavanaugh?” to which he responded how would she like it if people she loved were “destroyed” by “uncorroborated” charges.

From Daily Caller:

Cassidy: “Why wouldn’t I support Kavanaugh?”

Protester: “Because rapists are bad.”

Cassidy: “Wait a second — everybody there said that it did not happen. So why am I going to–”

Protester: “So you’re going to believe Mark Judge over a woman?”

Cassidy: “No, I’m going to believe her best friend.”

Protester: “Her best friend didn’t say it didn’t happen. Her best friend said she wasn’t told about it.”

Cassidy: “She said she didn’t remember.”

If there you don’t even recall the party and you say you’ve never met Kavanaugh, it puts a pretty big whole in the claim of an assault. And there was, in any event, no rape. But hey, they’ve spread all kinds of nonsense, why should they care about slander?

Protester: “So you’re OK as a doctor to harm a woman?”

Cassidy: “Wait a second – are you OK as a person to go ahead and to accept a non-corroborated charge to destroy someone’s life? If it destroyed your life, your son’s life, or your husband’s? Wait a second, answer my question. If it was your husband, your son, your father, whose life has been destroyed by uncorroborated, would you like that?”

He pointed out that she clearly didn’t care about the absence of any evidence that it had happened, much less the evidence indicating it hadn’t based upon the statements of the alleged ‘witnesses.’

Jeff Flake could take a lesson from this. This is how to respond.

Don’t cower and look chagrined when faced by these people.

Stand up and tell them why they’re wrong and why Americans should be rejecting their cult-like behavior harassing behavior.
