The upcoming group of socialists in the Democratic party hasn’t been shown to be shining lights so far. From false stories about their biographies like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Julia Salazar to their lack of understanding about basic economics, their gaffes are becoming well-known. And the socialist who has gotten the most media attention, Ocasio-Cortez, just laid down another hilarious statement that makes you wonder how she has gotten this far.
From Fox News Insider:
It seems that Democratic socialist and New York City congressional hopeful Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a lot to learn about Congress.
Ocasio-Cortez spoke Monday at her alma mater of Boston University, raising eyebrows with a comment on implementing her campaign promises if she wins in November.
“It doesn’t mean you get everything tomorrow. As much as I would love that, I would love to get inaugurated January 3rd [and] January 4th we’re signing health care, we’re signing this.”

Inaugurated? Does she think she’s running for president? Is she that unaware that you aren’t “inaugurated” to Congress, that you’re sworn in? Apparently so.
And no, Congress doesn’t sign bills, the president does. 7th-grade government students know this.
People in the 14th District in New York are really going to vote for this person? She doesn’t have the first idea of what a lawmaker does.
And she’s the future of the Democratic party, according to DNC Chair Tom Perez?
This isn’t her first failure of elemental comprehension. She mistakenly urged people to “flip this seat red” while campaigning for a fellow far-left politician, apparently not understanding that “red” refers to the GOP.
And earlier in the week, former president Barack Obama actually endorsed her, leading one to wonder if he’s ever heard her speak, or is her being a socialist good enough for the endorsement?
“Our incredible array of candidates up and down the ticket, all across the country, make up a movement of citizens who are younger, more diverse, more female than ever before,” Obama said.
Yup. Notice how he doesn’t include knowledge and understanding on his list of requirements there.
