Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) has definitely had a challenging couple of days and quite frankly it couldn’t happen to a more deserving person after all the fiasco she perpetrated to derail the Kavanaugh confirmation. But a video that went viral after she read the FBI report and seemed to know it was all about to unravel has gone viral, it’s priceless.

Feinstein may regret having asked for the FBI to look into the allegations against Kavanaugh, because not only did it not turn up any corroboration or anything that helped their cause to sink Kavanaugh, it exposed what some are calling an effort to pressure a witness to change her story, according to the Wall Street Journal.

According to the report, Leland Keyser told the FBI that she felt pressure to change her story from “allies” of Christine Blasey Ford, notably Monica McClean, an FBI agent friend of Ford’s. McClean is also the person who Ford’s ex-boyfriend said received advice from Ford about polygraphs. McClean’s lawyer, David Laufman denies that McClean ever pressured Keyser to change her story.

The WSJ reported, however, that texts of the conversations have been turned over to the FBI.

That, of course, may raise problems for the Ford team.

But that might not be all.

Chuck Grassley wrote a rip-snorting letter to her Ford’s attorneys calling them out for failing to turn over the documents that the Committee has been requesting for a while including the therapist’s notes and the polygraph. And he said their failure to turn them over indicated that they weren’t as “corroborative” as the attorneys were trying to sell them as.

But not only that, and this is the key Feinstein trouble piece.

From Daily Wire:

In addition to the evidence I requested in my October 2 letter, in light of recently uncovered information, please turn over records and descriptions of direct or indirect communications between Dr. Ford or her representatives and any of the following: (1) U.S. Senators or their staffs, particularly the offices of Senators Feinstein and Hirono, other than your communications with me and my staff in preparation for the September 27 hearing; (2) the alleged witnesses identified by Dr. Ford (Leland Keyser, Mark Judge, and Patrick “P.J.” Smyth); and (3) Debbie Ramirez, Julie Swetnick, or their representatives.

That first one sure sounds like he has something on Feinstein and Hirono there, doesn’t it?

And the second one may be the contact with trying to influence Keyser, allegedly.

The third one might reference reports that Swetnick was a prior client of Debra Katz, the attorney for Ford, which seems quite the coincidence. It’s also been reported that the Senate Democrats did reach out to solicit Deborah Ramirez to come forward, not the other way around. That could be problematic for Senate Democrats if it’s found that they had a hand in influencing Ramirez or her identification.

And then there’s the question of the leak of the confidential letter that started the whole drama that only could have been leaked from Ford, Rep. Anna Eshoo and her office or Feinstein and her office.

So on top of all that, Feinstein come out of looking at the FBI report, knowing there was no corroboration, they were likely to lose the Supreme Court and more races in the midterms into the bargain. And that with her fruitless gambit, she has just fired up and unified the Republicans.

That might explain Feinstein’s face as she comes out to speak to the press with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY).

Brilliant. And perfect at the end of a day that feels like a great day for the Constitution and for sanity with Kavanaugh securing the votes he needs to be confirmed.
