The idea that Brett Kavanaugh doesn’t respect women was absurd at face value. Nothing about Kavanaugh’s life supported that idea. For his entire career, Kavanaugh has a proven track record of trying to life up women in the workplace. But, that’s all the Democrats have. Throw the word sexist around, throw the word bigot around, throw the word racist around. That’s what they tried to do to Kavanaugh plus even more evil smears.
On his first day on the job, Brett Kavanaugh is already debunking the liberal smears against him.
From The Daily Caller:
Justice Brett Kavanaugh has hired a black law clerk for his new chambers at the U.S. Supreme Court, matching Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s record of African-American clerkship hiring during her tenure on the nation’s highest judicial tribunal.
With his first clerkship hires, Kavanaugh also set a gender composition record, an apparent attempt to buck the high court’s hiring patterns, which tend to favor white, male graduates of elite law schools.
Since joining the high court in 1993, Ginsburg has hired over 100 law clerks, just one of whom is black.
Granted, we shouldn’t get too worked up about this kind of thing. Conservatives understand that people aren’t judged on skin color but rather the content of their character. However, at the same time, this is the game that liberals created so there’s nothing wrong with playing it and calling them out for hypocrisy.
Kavanaugh is also the first justice to ever hire four women law clerks.
From Fox News:
Brett Kavanaugh, the newest Supreme Court justice, has kept one of the promises he made during his extremely divisive confirmation process: hiring an all-female contingent of law clerks.
Kavanaugh’s contentious confirmation was nearly derailed after multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct. Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, a California psychology professor, claimed in testimony before Congress that Kavanaugh held her down, attempted to forcibly remove her clothes and prevented her from screaming while at a social gathering in the early 1980s.
During the confirmation process, Kavanaugh said he hired an all-women team — a first for the Supreme Court —before the sexual misconduct allegations came to light.
That last part is important. Democrats can’t just write this off as a move Kavanaugh made to pander to the media or to distract them from the allegations against him. Kavanaugh had decided to do this before the phony smears from his high school and college days surfaced.
Chalk this one up as yet another liberal fail.
