The other day, President Trump allegedly used the word s****** to describe third world countries like El Salvador, Haiti, and other African nations. Most people heard that comment and agreed that places without running water, sewers, or electricity qualify as that word even if they weren’t thrilled that the president used it.
Liberals absolutely lost their minds. Apparently, asking simple questions about our immigration system
Sure, a bunch of liberals in Los Angeles and New York are upset. But, what do the actual people in Africa think about Trump’s comments?
Let’s ask the president of Uganda…
From Fox News:
Uganda’s president says he loves President Donald Trump and that he should be praised for not mincing words.
“I love Trump because he tells Africans frankly,” President Yoweri Museveni said Tuesday, shortly after the U.S. ambassador apologized for Trump’s recent reference to African nations as “shithole countries.”
“I don’t know whether he was misquoted or whatever. But he talks to Africans frankly,” Museveni said. “In the world, you cannot survive if you are weak.”
Well, that’s weird.
If the president of Uganda isn’t mad then why are we?
This is why we shouldn’t freak out too much about what uninformed millennials or irrational liberals have to say about situations like this. They will get mad at Trump regardless of what he says. If the president of Uganda is OK with Trump after his statement then we should all calm down and take a deep breath.
If you don’t like Trump using that kind of language that’s one thing. But, let’s not pretend his point about reevaluating how many people we let in and the places they come from isn’t part of the conversation. It should be. Sadly, the left’s insistence on calling everything they don’t like racist has made that conversation harder.
The annoying thing about this situation is that liberals would rather lie about the situation in Haiti rather than tell the truth and be accused of “racism”.
For example, check out Conan O’Brien.
Really? Are we really going to pretend that’s how people in Haiti live rather than have a real conversation about immigration?
Here’s what life for the majority of people in Haiti is actually like.
From Conservative Tribune:
Despite all the grief President Donald Trump recently received for allegedly referring to Haiti as a “s***hole” nation, the fact remains the island does suffer from some serious sanitation problems — primarily because it lacks a conventional trash disposal system.
As a result, Haiti is teeming with trash everywhere — on the streets, in rivers and even along the coast. According to Deutsche Welle, it’s so bad there that sadly many Haitians literally live “in (and around) garbage.”
And according to environmental activist Rosaly Byrd, there’s so much trash that it’s virtually impossible to go swimming anywhere in Haiti without encountering some.
Where was Conan’s picture of that?
