‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ is one of the best shows on cable news and a big reason for that is the fact that Tucker isn’t afraid to say the right thing even if he knows liberals will attack him for it. And boy have they. Apparently, anyone who asks honest questions about our current immigration system and its many flaws is a racist in the liberal mind and he has been accused of racism on what seems like a daily basis by vile far left sites like Media Matters.
It’s not just liberals who have gone after Tucker. Even fake conservatives have taken shots and that includes Tucker’s former boss, Bill Kristol.
Kristol used to be someone who was highly regarded in the conservative movement but those days are long gone and Kristol is largely ignored by serious people thanks to the many many things he’s been wrong about over the years.
Here’s what Kristol had to say about Tucker this week.
“He had always a little touch of Pat Buchananism, I would say, paleo-conservativism. But that’s very different from what he’s become now. I mean, it is close now to racism, white — I mean, I don’t know if it’s racism exactly — but ethno-nationalism of some kind, let’s call it. A combination of dumbing down, as you said earlier, and stirring people’s emotions in a very unhealthy way.”
Translation: Tucker is racist. But, he didn’t have the stones to use the word racist. He used some silly term that means the same thing.
Tucker issued the following response.
Tucker Carlson is firing back. In a statement provided to Mediaite, the Fox News host responded to Kristol’s scathing comments.
“I’m not even sure what he’s accusing me of,” Carlson said. “He offers no evidence or examples, just slurs, and then suggests that I’m the demagogue. Pretty funny. Kristol’s always welcome on my show to explain himself, though I assume he’s too afraid to come. What a shame. It would be revealing.”
That wasn’t all.
Tucker also skewered Kristol on his show in a clip that should be seen by every conservative.
Tucker handled that perfectly. Kristol is just trying to get attention and he isn’t interested in actually debating Tucker on the facts. If he was, he would come onto the show and actually have a debate. Kristol doesn’t want to debate. He wants to make anyone who disagrees with him feel like a bad person. He’s virtue signaling just like the left always does.
Try finding one example of Tucker being racist on his show. Just one. You won’t be able to. It hasn’t happened. All you will find is Tucker asking very important questions about the many flaws our current system has. People who don’t judge people by what they look like don’t have any problem having an honest conversation about immigration. Why would they? It has nothing to do with skin color. However, people obsessed with race like Bill Kristol and our friends on the left, aren’t able to have a rational conversation on the subject because all they see is color. They are the people who we should be questioning about racism. Not Tucker.
