You’ll have a hard time finding an attorney general as bad as Eric Holder in recent political history. The guy was an absolute mess during the Obama years and some of the scandals he was involved in are just too ridiculous to even believe.

You might remember when he was held in contempt by Congress for refusing to cooperate with an investigation.

He was the first attorney general in history to be held in contempt both criminal and civil.

From The Hill:

A House panel voted Wednesday to place Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for his failure to comply with a subpoena, defying an assertion of executive privilege from President Obama.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, led by Republican Chairman Darrell Issa (Calif.), approved a resolution along party lines to place Holder in contempt after battling him for months over access to internal agency documents about the gun-tracking operation known as “Fast and Furious.”

That pretty much sums up who Eric Holder is.

Eric Holder was also the guy who thought it was a good idea to spy on a Fox News reporter.

From Washington Times:

Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. approved a search warrant identifying a Fox News reporter as a potential co-conspirator in an espionage case, NBC News reported.

The information comes at the end of a week when news surfaced the Justice Department had also subpoenaed phone records from journalists at The Associated Press.

Somehow, despite his awful resume, Holder is thinking about running for president.

From Weasel Zippers via New York Post:

Eric Holder, former President Barack Obama’s attorney general, confirmed Wednesday that he’s considering throwing his hat in the ring for the 2020 presidential race.

“We’ll see,” he said during a breakfast sponsored by the Christian Science Monitor in Washington, DC.

He was asked if he’s mulling a run for the White House because he’s learning how to raise funds and giving political speeches.

“I think I’ll make a decision by the end of the year about whether or not there is another chapter in my government service,” he replied.

Holder, who served as attorney general from 2009 to 2015, has been traveling the country speaking out against the gerrymandering of congressional districts.

The only good news here is that Eric Holder has absolutely no shot at winning the nomination let alone winning the presidency. You really think Eric Holder can get on a stage in Pennsylvania or Michigan and convince people to vote for him?

Not a chance. Still, a terrifying idea imagining him as president.

Democrats are really not in good shape in 2020. They don’t have a single frontrunner. Who are they going to run? Kamala Harris? Liz Warren? Biden? Bernie?

Not one of those people brings anything to the table and they certainly don’t have any new ideas that will make things better for everyday Americans.

On top of that, the DNC doesn’t have any money.

There’s no reason to think that Democrats are going to have any chance against Trump in 2020.
